What is an Agriturismo

The word agriturismo means loosely "farm-stay".  Since agriturismos are usually based on farms you can normally expect the location and views to be spectacular.

We find the atmosphere during breakfast and evening meals to be much more relaxed than a traditional hotel.  It is typical for guests to sit around a large table, this means that it is a very social occasion and one that most find most appealing.

The food is usually locally sourced as is the wine and each region tends to have it's own unique flavour.  The hosts are very friendly and will go out of their way to make you feel at home.

To experience the true Italian experience we always recommend staying at an agriturismo when possible, the food is excellent, home made and usually organic.  The wine is often sulphate free and the setting is informal.

We also find that tasks such as bike washing or bike repairs is much easier when staying at agriturismos.

Wherever you stay, rest assured that we have done our homework to ensure your stay in Sardinia, Corsica or Italy is a truly memorable one.
