Sardinia Northern Explorer
A 9 Day Road Bike Tour in the North of Sardinia.
The Sardinia Northern Explorer Road Cycling Tour starts in the rural area called Planargia, a north-west central Sardinian sub-region, between the lower valley of the river Temo and the northern slope of Montiferru volcano. Planargia, which owes its name to the performance mainly high-rolling countryside, it offers visitors and bikers can range from green hill to the coast from the blue sea of the main town of Bosa, one of the Seven Royal Cities of Sardinia. Your tour continues to north reaching the Catalan city of Alghero, also known as “Barceloneta” as it can be truly considered a corner of Spain in Sardinia (the Catalan language is still spoken in the city).
In the harbor in front of the town the precious red coral harvesting is still in place and the city is an important centre for treating and manufacturing of that precious material. The tour will take you to an exploration of the regions of Nurra and their most attractive places where you’ll have the chance to spot the famous Sardinian griffon. You can enjoy the amazing view of the Asinara Island National park in front of the famous Pelosa Beach. Our trip continues visiting the beautiful town of Castelsardo with its meddle-age castle, and then continue on the geographic area called Gallura, with its granitic mountains, to finish on the beautiful and famous Emerald Coast.Booking Enquiries
